Beautiful Petunias in my Garden

Oops! Too much expression of thoughts…. but you’ve handled it beautifully my gardenpot.

Hi my beautiful friends and readers

Hoping the very best for you!! Health and Happiness always!βš˜πŸ™‚

Education has come a great distance from ancient times to the post independence era and now to the present times. The Indian subcontinent has been the patron of the greatest education system of the ancient world. The ancient universities like The Nalanda and the Taxila university were way ahead of their times, the alumuni of these eminent universities include the erudites like Pannini, Nagarjuna, Aryadeva and Hieun Tsang. Indian subcontinent was the epicentre of world education. It is not mere vague history, it has it’s concrete testament. The Indian education system was at its pinnacle when the other education systems were still in their cradles.

One of the elementals of this system of education was holistic development, encompassing all areas, intellectual, physical, moral and social. This was one of the major part of the Gurukul culture of India. Value based education was always an integral part.
As we come back to the present, the recently emerging shift in the education pedagogy as well as the recently approved New Education Policy 2020 highlight the gravity of Holistic Development and the significance of instilling in the upcoming progeny, the innate sense to give back to the community and society as a whole.

As a Management Consultant (Education), I was going through the elementals of the New Education Policy 2020. I could easily make out some rare similarities between ancient Indian Education Sytem and the new emerging Education policies.

Do comment and share your views about the various education policies around the globe and their ancient links.

Take care my friends and readers.

Lit For Life 2021

Delighted to be a part of the first ever virtual Literature Festival by The Hindu Group.

It was a knowledge adding session and the conversation with one of the finest minds of our times were crisp with facts, multifaceted with an amalgamation of humour, humbleness and the most integral part being their experience and expertise.

It was indeed deeply thought provoking!

Diwali 2021

Once again that part of the year has arrived, when the days are pleasantly warm and the nights are slightly cold…days are filled with excitement as the festival season arrives…the mesmerising sweet smell of the marigold and roses engulfs as one enters the house..sparkling rows of decorated earthen lamps, the diya, candle lights, beautiful rangolis makes the environment magical.
Steaming hot kachories stuffed with aromatic spices and dry fruits and deep fried in ghee combined with sugary hot gulab jamuns…mouth melting sweet milk burfies and traditional laddos make one more nostalgic.

Yeah!! Diwali has arrived after a trail of festivals…

The wardrobe is hunted again and again finalizing the sarees in vibrant hues from red to deep pinks, simmering orange to golden yellows. From phulkaris to Leheriyas, banarsis to gota pattis. Crisp silk, chic organzas to subtle chiffons. Beautiful chokers made up of gold, dazzaling diamond and pearl chandbalis and mojaris. Delicate anklets are worn and the air is crisp with festive vibes…everywhere there is hustle and bustle, laughter and joy, the nostalgic sound of the ankelets and the rustling of the silk cheers up every soul.

πŸŽ†The festival of light Diwali has arrived✨…a festival to meet your loved ones..no matter the distance between … physically or virtually we will connect….a night full of prayers and celebration, a time to rejoice life, to celebrate life, to pray for the wellbeing of your loved ones..near or far.

Diwali is the tale of faith and firm resolve.
Come, let’s celebrate together holding the earthern diyas and smiling with uplifted spirits.

Happy Diwali πŸŽ†

Good day my readers

I hope you all have been doing well.😊

Always wisely choose your battles, you need not show up to each and every battle. Its okay to loose some but never ever loose your sparkle, your zeal, your spirit to fight back. There might be cloudy days but the sunflower always waits for the sunlight with a head held high, and with a smile throughout the storm. Every bowed down head, every step back, every tired soul is a “story of would be success”. So choose your options wisely, be hopeful and be proud of yourself no matter you win or loose!

Do comment and share your thoughts. Would love to hear your stories of hope because you never know who you are inspiring!

Take care my friends.

Wishing happiness and health.😊⚘

Hii my readers, I hope you all are doing great!

After an indstrious week, finally Saturday has come…… the day to relax…..getting up late, brunch insead of lunch and all that lazy stuff☺☺☺…

After my morning tea when I stepped out into my garden I could feel cool breeze instead of warm and suffocating air…which is a peculiar feature at this time of year in India specially this humid, warm, suffocating feeling is there when the moonson is on the verges..I was having a strange feeling πŸ€”I thought night was quite warm how come the morning was so cold, then I figured out it was my gardener who had waterd and sprinked each and every plant thoroughly..and guess what to my surprise he had even harvested some okra pods…I was like πŸ™†β€β™€οΈπŸ™†β€β™€οΈyesterday evening I saw my okra plants but seriously was unable to find out any pods but today morning soo many🀩he is a magician.I’ll show you people some pics that I had taken…

Okra flowers : yellow with crimson centres.
My Battalion of Okras
Okra Leaves : heart – shaped and three to five lobed.
Okra pods : hairy at the base and around 4- 5 inches in length with seeds.
” The Thankful receiver bears a plentiful harvest.” ~ W.Blake

aren’t they amazing!!woww…first harvest of my garden πŸ˜πŸ™†β€β™€οΈit gives you such a different feeling, a nomadic feel…collecting your own stuff and then cooking itπŸ˜„πŸ˜„all different from that urban life.
Many people call it okra or lady finger but in India it is commanly called bhindi…it has anti oxidant qualities, high nutritional value and low in calories, it is basically a summer vegetable… some simple and popular dishes of okra in North India are bhindi masala or stuffed bhindi.

Bhindi masala : A delectable delicacy prepared with whole and ground spices, onions and tomatoes. This semi – dry treat is a burst of flavours.
Bharwa bhindi or Stuffed Okra : A dish where the okra is stuffed with spicy and tangy masala filing, a lip smacking appetizer.

Believe me they really taste so good and I love them🀩 and today I’m going to cook them for dinner 😊😊🍜

See you guys untill nextπŸ™‹β€β™€οΈstay healthy, hearty and happy .

Hey lovely friends

It’s been so long since I have penned down. But today felt like the right moment to come back to you all, my readers and my friends. In this span of time I realized how easily the connections get snapped and how difficult it is to connect back.
It’s been such busy months of my life, Work, work and work literally defined my days, other days got used up in deliberating over the ventures of mine. I couldn’t realise how half the year has literally passed. And now as I became a little free, I came back to my pursuits, the most important one has been tending my saplings.
The gardener had planted a variety of seedlings somewhere in March. This time I had thought of cultivating a beautiful kitchen garden, firstly because I had never seen veggies being grown and secondly the most important part, no need to sit for hours dissecting the vegetables and being concerned about the various dangerous chemicals which are used in growing these veggies.
So this time this organic thought of veggies was as exciting for me as it was for my gardener. But alas! I expected to give those seedling some care, and spend a lot of time with them, but I couldn’t, I just saw them once or twice in a week, that too just while entering and exiting the house. But I am more than overjoyed to share with you all how my plan of growing organic veegies turned into such a mesmerising reality. Keep reading folks because you’ll be getting a regular update of all my organic veggies.
I would greatly recommend this past time to all the people out there struggling to be find a new hobby and be productive. It’s therapeutic to see the outcomes in the form of these lovely bunches of mine.

“This season puts a little spring in my step!” A shot from my garden.

Giving a sneek peek into my sunflowers which were planted around the same time. Had been struggling to capture them, but today moring, they were so full of life, beauty and optimism. How could I not be grateful?!!

Do checkout the blogs ahead for a continuous update of my organic veggies.

Till then see ya folks!
Stay happy, hearty and healthy.
Take care and keep reading!⚘
